SEEK THE LORD!

God’s Living Word repeatedly encourages us, beckons us, and even commands us to “Seek the Lord!” And with the Master’s invitation, a promise is given! If we seek Him, He will reveal Himself… indeed, He is seeking us!

Deuteronomy 4:29 ... search for the Lord your God, and you will find him when you seek him with all your heart and all your soul.

1 Chronicles 16:8 Give thanks to the Lord; call on his name; proclaim his deeds among the peoples. 9 Sing to him; sing praise to him; tell about all his wondrous works! 10 Boast in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lordrejoice. 11 Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

1 Chronicles 22:19 Determine in your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God...

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV) If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

2 Chronicles 31:20 Hezekiah ... did what was good and upright and true before the Lord his God. 21 He was diligent in every deed that he began in the service of God’s temple, in the instruction and the commands, in order to seek his God, and he prospered.

Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call to him while he is near. 7 Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, so he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will freely forgive.

Jeremiah 29:12 You will call to me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.

Hosea 10:12 It is time to seek the Lord until he comes and sends righteousness on you like the rain.

Joel 2:12 Even now—this is the Lord’s declaration—turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning. 13 Tear your hearts, not just your clothes, and return to the Lord your God. For he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in faithful love, and he relents from sending disaster.

When the Prodigal returned home, seeking refuge in his father’s house, he discovered that his father was eagerly anticipating, waiting, watching, seeking his son’s return!

“… think on these things” (Philippians 4:8, KJV).
